During my time at Trinity College Dublin, I served on the CU Committee for two years. The opportunities and conversations I had there have influenced how I lead today in my local church. In particular, I have been shaped in grasping how to handle God’s Word and find joy in mission.
While I served as Small Groups Coordinator, my Staff Worker trained me in writing and facilitating Bible studies. This is an invaluable skill which I feel all students would benefit from. It now helps me immensely in enjoying God’s Word when discipling younger guys in my home church.
In my second year of leadership, I had committee responsibilities alongside coordinating the Mission’s Week. God used all the challenges and management responsibilities to help my evangelistic efforts with course mates and students across campus. By growing in accountability, strength, and love in a culture of evangelism with brothers and sisters, God fostered within me a joy for mission. This mission of ‘Go and tell’ I live out today, for his name’s sake.
