Prayer Diary, January 2021

Here’s how you can be praying for CUI throughout the month of January.

Prayer Diary, January 2021

 1st – 8th January

– Stranmillis had their events week HUMAN in lockdown on 10th – 12th November, during which they had a week of online events and evening events in person focused on what it means to be human, and sharing the hope of the gospel into this theme. Pray for all the students who brought their friends– that their friends would above all come to know the tangible hope that exists in Jesus

– Pray for the follow up of CU’s carol services – that students would continue to engage in conversations with friends and family following perhaps the biggest outreach event of the year.

9th – 14th  January

– Pray for the International Student Ministries (ISM) Ireland Team during the 13th – 15th January: The team will be ‘attending’ the Friends International Annual Conference via Zoom, focusing on Lament and the Goodness of God, led by Chris Wright.

– Pray for creative and personal opportunities to welcome and re–welcome international students to our campuses in January.

15 – 21 January

– Pray for the process of choosing and preparing new leaders to take over sometime this term. Pray that God would put it on the hearts of some committee members to serve for a second year.

– The University of Ulster campuses of Coleraine and Magee worked hard in the last semester to draw first–year students into CU communities. Pray those new CU members will courageously reach their classmates and friends with the gospel this semester.

22 – 31 January

–  Pray for ongoing recruitment of ISM Team: We are absolutely delighted that Heledd Job will be joining our ISM team as a staff worker in Dublin next September, but please pray that God will continue to lead, provide and guide more and more people to expand our team across the island.

– Please pray for Ulster University Belfast as they think through and plan what an artistic mission week could look like next year on their wonderfully creative campus in February
