Prayer Diary, May 2021

29/04/21

Please stand with us in prayer during May.

Prayer Diary, May 2021

29 April – 5 May

–        Pray for students who have had their placement disrupted over the past two academic years (teachers and medical students in particular). Pray that this wouldn’t impact their career, that they would still have opportunity perhaps now to do some of their placement.

–        Pray for new CU committees around the island doing leadership training with their staff workers in this period. Pray that they would grasp the vision of what it means to lead a CU, to give their studies, their friendships, their whole lives up in worship to God and seek him as a leadership team together.

6 – 12 May

–        Pray for relationships and opportunities to share faith with international students to continue beyond the regular weekly iCafes with ISM – for more face–to–face meet ups as restrictions allow and for deeper conversations about Jesus.

–        Please pray for the CU in Thurles, made up of students from three different campuses. Pray for Christina who leads their small study group – pray that God would warm their hearts to the gospel, and give them a passion for those on their campuses who don’t know Jesus.

13 – 19 May

–        Continue to pray for the follow up from Ulster University Belfast CU’s (UUBCU) online events week ‘Curious’ in March. Pray for the students who came along and for the conversations about Jesus that students will continue to have in the coming weeks.

–        Pray for students across Ireland coming to the end of what has been a tumultuous year, as they face many end–of–term assignments and exams, with little connection and support for many.

20 – 26 May

–        Continue to pray for the follow up from Ulster University Jordanstown CU online events week ‘Searching’ in March. Pray for the conversations that people had with their friends, and for everyone who is receiving and reading Uncover John with the CU, that they would find life and joy in the person of Jesus.

–        Pray for UCCCU as they alternate between social events and outward–looking talks over this term. Pray that they would be able to build community despite the online format.

27 May – 2 June

–        Pray for new CU committees around the island doing leadership training with their staff workers in this period. Pray that they would grasp the vision of what it means to lead a CU, to give their studies, their friendships, their whole lives up in worship to God and seek him as a leadership team together.

–        Pray for freshers who will start university in September. Pray that they would connect with their local CU over the summer and feel already a part of the family by the time they begin.
