Joint CU Pre–term

Lorna Morrison, 17/05/17

Pre–term is an event Northern Christian Unions hold annually in partnership with Christian Unions Ireland. It is a few days away at Castlewellan and a great way to meet new people before starting university. We open the Bible together, explore what the Christian Union does, and look at what it is like to be a Christian student at university.

Joint CU Pre–term

Is it for me?

Pre–term began as an initiative of Queen’s University Belfast, but has grown over the past number of years to include all Northern campuses. A couple of years ago we reached the capacity of what we could accommodate at Castlewellan castle and so decided to split our pre–terms to allow even more people to attend! If you are going to be starting your first year of a course at Queen’s University in September 2017 (or you are a nurse starting in February 2018) then click here to visit the Queen’s CU pre–term booking page. However, if you are starting your first year of a course at Coleraine, Jordanstown, Art College, Magee, or Stranmillis Teaching College then Joint CU Preterm is definitely for you!

When is it?

This year Joint CU Pre–term is running from Wednesday 30th August – Friday 1st September. You should aim to arrive Wednesday evening and it then runs right through to Friday afternoon.

How much does it cost?

If you can make it for the whole time (which we hope you can!) the price is £65, though if you can only make it for a day the cost is £20 (this doesn’t include an overnight). If there are any issues about how many days you can stay please email us.

Can I apply before getting my A level results?

Yes! Please do! If you know you want to come to a Northern campus you can sign up before results in August. We would just ask that you would contact us afterwards to confirm your place.

To apply or ask any questions just email Lorna Morrison and she will look after you.
