Do you want to grow in your personal relationship with Jesus Christ this summer? Do you want deeper foundations in the gospel? Do you desire to deepen your leadership skills and vision? Do you want to build relationships with other believers in Ireland and across the world? Do you want to have an enormous amount of fun?!
If so, please join us this summer for ENCOUNTER.
Your life may never be the same!
Join us this year for Encounter from June 6 to July 8, 2019!
What to expect
Week 1–2: Teaching & Mentoring
You will spend the first two weeks in community with other interns and staff at the Coolnagreina conference centre in Greystones, Co. Wicklow, and explore the transforming power of the gospel in a verse by verse study of Galatians through discipleship and mentoring. You will be under the care of an individual mentor who will help apply the truth of the gospel to your life. Evangelism training, prayer walks, vibrant worship, teaching, fellowship, meals, and fun community activities will all help you respond to God’s call to be ‘sent ones’ for Jesus Christ.
Week 3–4: Leadership & Mission
The second two weeks will bring you into a variety of contexts in both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, and give you the opportunity to put into practice what you have learned in the first two weeks of Encounter. You will be placed in small teams as you partner with local churches to display the gospel in their local communities and help local leaders to envision a gospel presence. Mission work may involve kids’ camps, evangelism, literature drops, building maintenance, youth work, prayer walks, and much more.
“This place felt like a unique heavenly community of joy, challenge, love, health, encouragement and peace”
– a student of the Encounter leadership programme
Closure : Final Reflections
The final part of the programme brings you back to the Coolnagreina centre in Greystones for a weekend of reflection and fellowship. You will be reunited with all the interns and share your stories of God’s grace and provision. The programme will end with a wonderful, celebratory feast as we honour what God has done both in and through us!
