***Coronavirus: NEW ANNOUNCEMENT (06/05) ***

Sadly, due to the all–island nature of our movement and the social distancing regulations that have been announced for August, including restrictions on travel, we will have to change EQUIP 2020 to a more online festival. It will still go ahead, and we are currently planning what that will look like. In the meantime, we will be in touch in the next few weeks with all those who have booked, to let them know and to offer them a refund. On behalf of the students and staff on Planning Team, I trust that you are safe and well, and know God’s presence with you in these challenging times as we look outwards to those who don’t yet know Him on our campuses and beyond. Thanks, PG

* due to coronavirus, earlybird rates have been extended indefinitely – we’ll give 2 weeks notice before we raise them.  For Freshers entering college, they’ll remain the same, of couse.

**for bursaries, please check out this page

Your festival ticket includes:

  • accommodation for four nights
  • all your food (if in Castle accom)
  • five days in a stunning forest park on the edge of the beautiful Mournes
  • time to connect back with your CU
  • some of the world’s top Christian speakers
  • deep times of worship together
  • workshops and teaching specifically designed to equip you for life on campus in Ireland
  • after hours entertainment
  • your Festival Guide
  • access to some of the best student resources
  • dozens of other boring things like health and safety, insurance, security, festival permit, electric, limited publicity costs

What your ticket does not include:

  • our staff costs or expenses – we pay for our own places there, and work many hours to put this on
  • expensive speakers or band costs – most of our speakers and bands last year came free of charge or with minimal cost, as they believe in the vision of EQUIP – we’re very thankful to them.
  • profit for CUI – we ran EQUIP at a massive loss last year, because we believed God would do great things across the island through such a launchpad – He did!  We still think this year we’ll make a small loss too.
  • transport to the venue – however, we do run discounted buses from any major city in Ireland, if there’s a demand for them.  See our transport page for more info.  Last year, one bus went from Dublin for €20 return.  This year we expect more buses.
  • food for campers.  Cooking together is part of the craic of the festival.  But for those who aren’t used to it, they can team up with others in CU.  New for this year, we’re trying to pilot a scheme where our mission partners run dinners for those camping for a small charge.  We’ll keep you in the loop with details!
