Prayer Diary

Prayer Point 1: Pray for new CU committees in NI as they meet for summer planning days to plan out the vision and events for the coming year. Pray that God would give them a real sense of unity as they meet, and also a real heart for their campuses and how to reach them.
Prayer Point 2: Please pray for the Northern and Southern teams as they gather this week. Ask God to make their time together productive, full of insight, collaboration, and encouragement as they plan for the summer and the next term.
Prayer Point 3: UUDerry/Londonderry CU aims to expand its outreach to international students in the academic year ahead. Give thanks for their growing heart to share the gospel with students from around the world, and pray for wisdom as they consider how best to do so.

Prayer Point 1: Pray for the Formation Worker’s Goodbye Conference. This will be a time to help them reflect on the year, finish well and equip them as they transition into the next chapter of their lives.
Prayer Point 2: Pray for encouragement and opportunities to reach out to international students in Belfast over the summer, despite weekly events and activities being paused. Pray for volunteers from the CU and local churches who are motivated to collaborate and organise various activities to sustain friendships and share the faith in Jesus.
Prayer Point 3: Last term, we shared about students starting a CU at Mary Immaculate College. They now meet regularly and run the Alpha course. One student came along for the first time. She’d grown up Catholic, drifted away from God, and recently felt a desire to know Jesus more deeply. She loved the discussion, planned to come back, and said, “This group came at the right time.” Please pray for her as she explores faith, and for this new CU as it establishes itself

Prayer Point 1: Pray ahead of Dublin International Outreach (20-28th June) – pray for wisdom for the CUI staff leading, for unity and energy for the team members serving, and for the Holy Spirit to be drawing international students to the evening café activities and Bible discussion each night.
Prayer Point 2: Pray for final year students involved in CUs who will soon graduate and leave university life. Ask that God would firmly root them in a local church and give them the courage to continue living and speaking for Jesus in their workplaces or in further studies. Pray that the faith and habits formed during their time in CU would continue to shape them, and that they would be bold witnesses for Christ in the next stage of life.
Prayer Point 3: Pray for international students who have been welcomed by the CUs this year. As many prepare to return home, pray that their curiosity about Jesus continues to grow and that they have opportunities to continue exploring the Christian faith. Ask them to find and join a local church where they can keep asking questions and hearing the gospel. Pray, too, that CU members will stay in touch with them, continuing friendships and encouraging them in their journey of faith.

Prayer Point 1: The Formation Workers officially finish their time with us this week. Please thank God for the faithfulness of our first cohort of Formation Workers: Zion, Eliel, Jed, Mary, Laura, Sandra and Beth. Pray for them as they head into the next chapter of their lives.
Prayer Point 2: Please pray for Luke Sherwin and Alesia Yermak as they finish their time with us. We’re so grateful for their faithful service and the difference they’ve made in students' lives. Ask God to guide their next steps, fill them with courage and joy, and continue to use them to bless others in this new season.
Prayer Point 3: Pray for the IFES World Assembly, which begins in Dublin one year from now, on 24th June 2027! Pray for all involved in planning, organising, and attending this significant event. Pray for CUI’s hosting responsibilities, for a cooperative working relationship with IFES, and for God to use the event to inspire mission across Ireland and beyond.
