Lucy Urey

Limerick Staff Worker

Lucy is originally from County Monaghan and, after studying French and English at Queen’s University Belfast, spent the last five years teaching. Two years ago, she moved to Limerick to church plant with her husband under Baptist Missions, and she’s delighted to now be serving as a CUI Staff Worker.

University is a unique time in life. Students are asking big questions, building lifelong friendships and making decisions that shape their future. It’s a privilege to support and encourage students during this stage, helping them grow in their faith and share the hope of Jesus with those around them.

Lucy enjoyed being involved in Queen’s Christian Union, especially through small groups, and she is excited to now help students in Limerick make the most of the opportunities they have on campus. Lucy believes students are uniquely placed to reach other students with the gospel, and her prayer is to see them equipped, encouraged and confident in living for Christ.
