Maureen de Witte

World Assembly Formation+ Worker

Maureen grew up in a small village in the Netherlands. After graduating with a degree in Human Movement Sciences, she worked for several months at the Wilhelmina Children’s Hospital in Utrecht. Alongside this role, she served as a project leader within the Dutch IFES movement.

During her university years, Maureen became first involved with IFES Netherlands as a singer on the worship team. Later, she joined the staff as an Event Management Trainee, where she was responsible for organising conferences and events for students and the wider movement. She especially enjoyed the practical side of the role: working with students, supporting and coaching them as they planned and led events.

Seeing students grow, helping them discover their gifts, and walking with them in their relationship with Jesus inspired Maureen to join the Host Team for the World Assembly in Ireland. As she serves on the team during the preparations for the World Assembly and in her role as a Formation Worker, her prayer is that people from all over the world will meet one another, encounter God, and return home renewed, inspired, and ready to invest in the students and movements they serve.
